KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A man has died following a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Tazewell Pike and Old Broadway, according to the Knoxville Police Department.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 7:20 a.m. on May 15, 2026, after receiving reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a Subaru.
Investigators said a Subaru was traveling southbound on Tazewell Pike, while the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Old Broadway when the two vehicles collided in the intersection. The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation by authorities.
The motorcyclist has been identified by loved ones as Scott Janky Moyers, who was operating the motorcycle at the time of the crash. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead as a result of the collision.
The driver of the Subaru was not reported to be seriously injured.
The Knoxville Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate the incident, and officials said the cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
