The community of Laurel, Maryland, is reacting with concern following a violent incident near Amigos Mexican Grill that left multiple individuals injured, though no deaths have been reported. Despite initial confusion, all victims survived, and authorities have not confirmed any fatalities connected to the event.

According to the Laurel Police Department, the situation unfolded around 10 p.m. along the 13600 block of Baltimore Avenue near the Laurel Shopping Center. Three people were shot and transported to nearby hospitals, while two others were injured in a separate stabbing incident close to the same area.

The ghatnas took place near busy establishments including Amigos Mexican Grill and LongHorn Steakhouse, where crowds had gathered for Cinco de Mayo celebrations. Investigators have not yet confirmed whether the shooting and stabbing are connected, which has only added to public concern.

Police investigations remain ongoing, with authorities urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. While no one died, the incident still leaves a mark, another reminder of how quickly public spaces can shift from celebration to chaos without warning.
