Jarrod Holt Obituary Death News: 51 Years Old Jarrod Holt Dies in Custody Following Medical Emergency After Arrest in Galveston County

The passing of Jarrod Holt, 51, is a heartbreaking moment that leaves behind sorrow, questions, and a deep sense of loss for those who knew him and loved him.

Jarrod was arrested on May 3, 2026, at approximately 4:49 a.m. by the La Marque Police Department on a felony parole board warrant. He was later transported to the Galveston County Jail at about 5:39 a.m., where he was evaluated by UTMB medical staff. During that evaluation, he reportedly admitted to ingesting cocaine. Shortly after, his condition began to rapidly deteriorate.

Despite immediate medical intervention by jail and UTMB personnel—including emergency CPR—Jarrod was transported to UTMB Galveston Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 6:44 a.m.

Following the incident, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office notified the Texas Rangers and the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office, who are now conducting an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
