HENDERSON, Ky — A woman injured in a Wednesday afternoon crash in Henderson County has died from her injuries, authorities confirmed.

According to officials, the crash occurred around 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Highway 41A and KY-425, involving two vehicles. Emergency crews responded to the scene after reports of a serious collision.

Investigators said a total of three people were transported to local hospitals for treatment following the crash. Among them was 54-year-old Shanna Gish, who was driving one of the vehicles involved.

Authorities said Gish sustained critical injuries in the collision and was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital for emergency care. Despite medical efforts, she later died from her injuries on Friday.

The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office officially identified Gish and confirmed that her death resulted from injuries sustained in the crash.

Officials stated that the circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation. At this time, no further details have been released regarding the cause of the crash or the condition of the other individuals involved.
