The community of Rochester, Pennsylvania, is mourning the death of Therman W. Wallace Jr., a 9-year-old student whose passing on April 24, 2026 has left a deep and painful silence among family, friends, and classmates.

Born June 15, 2016, in Magnolia, Arkansas, Therman was the son of Therman W. Wallace Sr. and Alicia M. Belanger Wallace. He attended Rochester Elementary School, where his outgoing nature made him instantly known. He had a way of turning strangers into friends in seconds, usually starting with his signature line, “Hey Bruh!” It wasn’t just a phrase; it was basically his personality in two words.
Therman loved the things most kids do but somehow made them feel bigger. Minecraft and Roblox, games of UNO, fishing trips, and riding bikes or 4-wheelers with his brothers and friends. He carried a kind of energy that made everyday moments feel like something worth remembering. Even his little companion, Mr. McTurtle, somehow becomes part of the story people won’t forget.
He is survived by his parents; his brothers Cody, Alex, and Austin; his sisters Mia, Savannah, Alyssa, and Ali; along with grandparents, great-grandparents, a large extended family, and countless friends who now have to figure out how to exist without that constant spark. Visitation will be held May 2 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, followed by a service officiated by Pastor Greg Clagg. His family asks that he be remembered the way he lived, simple, open, and unforgettable: “Hey Bruh!!”
