Born October 23, 1965, in Union County, Illinois, Christy spent much of her life in Fairfield, where she was part of the activity program at the Career Development Center. Her routine may have seemed simple on paper, but those environments are built on connection, and people like Christy are often at the heart of them, whether quietly or in ways only those around them fully understand.
She is survived by her guardian, as well as the residents and staff at Kinsale House in Fairfield, who were part of her daily life and community. That kind of close-knit setting tends to turn into something more like family over time, making her absence feel personal and immediate.
