According to police, the crash happened just after 1 a.m. at the intersection of Woodville Road and Holmes Street. Investigators say Triggs was driving northwest on Woodville Road when his vehicle left the roadway for reasons still under investigation and struck a utility pole.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported Triggs to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities have not yet determined what caused the crash, and it remains unclear whether speed, distraction, or other factors were involved. The investigation remains ongoing.
