DANVILLE, Ill. — The Danville community is grieving the sudden and tragic loss of 30-year-old Timothy Strader, who was found dead on Monday, April 6, 2026, after being reported missing over the weekend.
According to the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department, a relative reported Strader missing on Saturday, April 4, stating he had not been heard from in 10–12 days. Deputies launched an immediate investigation to locate him.
Tragically, investigators discovered human remains on a property in the 1700 block of West Williams Street in Danville. Coroner Jane McFadden confirmed the remains were those of Strader. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday to determine the cause of death.
Illinois State Police crime scene investigators assisted in the investigation, which remains ongoing. Authorities have not released additional details at this time.
Friends, family, and neighbors are left in shock and grief over the sudden and devastating loss of Strader, a young life cut short under tragic circumstances.
