CLINTON, S.C. — It’s with deep sorrow that the Clinton community remembers Rashaad Isaiah Kinard, who tragically lost his life Sunday evening in a collision involving a vehicle and his bicycle.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at the intersection of Charlotte Road and Gary Street. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but tragically, Kinard was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Laurens County Coroner’s Office, led by Patti Canupp, confirmed that her office was notified of the incident around 9 p.m. Kinard’s passing has shook the local community, where friends, classmates, and neighbors are struggling to come to terms with the sudden and devastating loss of a young life taken far too soon.
Authorities said the incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
