The Greenville community is mourning the tragic loss of David Hernandez, 22, who was killed early Sunday morning in a devastating single-vehicle crash in downtown Greenville.
According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, the fatal incident occurred at approximately 4:28 a.m. on April 5, 2026, near 1103 North Main Street. First responders arrived after reports of a vehicle colliding with a structure. Authorities noted that law enforcement had attempted a traffic stop prior to the crash but did not make contact with the vehicle. Shortly afterward, Hernandez’s car was found after it had struck a wall.
Hernandez, who was the driver, was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:39 a.m. His sudden and unexpected passing has left family, friends, and loved ones devastated.
