As the owner-operator of The Mermaid Room and The Pirate Room, Dale was a cherished member of the Folly Beach community. His warmth and generosity created spaces where friendships flourished and memories were made. He had a remarkable ability to bring people together, filling every room—and every shoreline—with laughter, music, and connection.
Dale’s love for life was evident in his many travels, especially to Hawaii and Walt Disney World, where he embraced adventure with enthusiasm and joy. He found happiness in the simple pleasures: sunlit beaches, shared laughter, and time spent with those he loved most.
