Wade Small, Tyrone Township Motorcycle Accident: Tyrone Township Man Dies After Motorcycle Crashes Into SUV in Driveway Incident

The Adams County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash near Hampton as 22-year-old Wade Small of Tyrone Township.

According to Adams County Chief Deputy Coroner Scott Pennewill, Small was killed on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, while operating a motorcycle in Reading Township.

Pennsylvania State Police said the crash occurred around 6:35 p.m. in the 2300 block of East Berlin Road. Investigators report that Small was traveling eastbound on a motorcycle when he struck the side of an SUV that was exiting a residential driveway along the roadway.

Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, where Adams County Coroner Francis Dutrow and Chief Deputy Coroner Scott Pennewill confirmed Small’s death.

An autopsy conducted on Friday, April 24, determined that Small died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to the coroner’s office.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported by the occupants of the SUV involved in the crash.

Multiple fire and EMS agencies assisted at the scene, including United Hook & Ladder, Northeast Adams Fire & EMS, UPMC Community Life Team EMS, Adams Regional EMS, and the York Springs Fire Company.

The Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
