HARTFORD, Connecticut — Hartford Police are investigating a homicide after a 33-year-old woman was found fatally shot at a residence on Belden Street.

According to authorities, officers responded to 62 Belden Street after receiving a report of an unresponsive female. When officers arrived, they located the woman at the scene suffering from an apparent injury that was later confirmed to be a gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police identified the victim as Keishla Claudio, born February 9, 1993, of Hartford.
During the investigation, Hartford Police determined the incident is believed to be domestic-related. Officials said a person of interest connected to the case was later found deceased out of state, suffering from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes Division and Crime Scene Division remain actively investigating the case.
