Zachary Snyder, BURLINGTON, Ky Obituary-Death News: 16 Years old Burlington Teen Killed in Hebron Car Crash

BURLINGTON, Ky. — The Burlington community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Zachary Snyder, 16, who was killed in a single-vehicle crash late Sunday night on Bullittsville Road in Hebron.

According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 10:34 p.m. in a 2015 Honda Accord. Snyder, who was the front-seat passenger, was ejected from the vehicle, became trapped underneath it, and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The 17-year-old driver failed to navigate a sharp right-hand curve, causing the car to cross the center line. The driver overcorrected, sending the vehicle off the road, striking multiple trees, and overturning. Two backseat passengers, aged 17 and 18, along with the driver, were able to exit the vehicle on their own and were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators noted that speed was likely a contributing factor, and neither Snyder nor the driver were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Bullittsville Road was closed for several hours while the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team conducted its investigation.

Authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash to provide a clearer understanding of this tragic incident that has left the Boone County community grieving.
